彩繪眾生，邁步向光

每個城市，都有自己的文化面貌，在歷史的腳步中，形塑出城市的特色。臺南是個重視文化底蘊，又不斷求新求變的地方，透過不同世代的共同努力，積累出屬於臺南的文化果實。
這次很榮幸邀請到藝術家蘇奕榮，蒞臨臺南文化中心文物陳列館舉辦個展。他的創作風格多變，從早期師承沈哲哉的設色觀念和紮實的素描基礎，裸女、芭蕾舞少女系列透露抒情優美氣息；風景畫亦獨樹一幟，擅長採用空間分割再重組的連續畫面，表現層次鮮明的立體感與空間感，有著獨特的動感與氣勢。日本藝評家吉井和已曾讚揚：「蘇氏獨創的作品風格並非替代畢卡索，而是用獨自的見解，創作出自己的題材，繪畫出偉大的價值觀。」
這次展覽以「向光處」和「迎眾生」兩個子題，展出他歷年的代表作品，即是試圖勾勒出他不同時期、不同系列的風格面貌，同時介紹他一貫關心的議題。讓觀眾看到他筆下形形色色的人像，以及那臉孔下的不同人生百態，並且欣賞各種風景的排列組合、光影變化，如何構築出韻味有致的景色。

Painting Life, Striding Towards Light

Every city has its own cultural identity, shaped by the footsteps of history, defining its unique characteristics. Tainan is a place that values its cultural heritage while constantly seeking innovation and change. Through the collective efforts of different generations, Tainan has accumulated its own cultural achievements.
It is with great honor that we invite the artist Su I-Jung to hold a solo exhibition at the Tainan Cultural Center. His artistic style is versatile, drawing from the color concepts learned under Shen Che-Tsai and a solid foundation in sketching. His series depicting nude figures and ballet dancers exude a lyrical and graceful atmosphere. His landscape paintings are also distinctive, utilizing spatial segmentation and recombination to create continuous scenes with vivid layers and depth. Japanese art critic Yoshii Kazuya once praised: "Su's original style does not replace Picasso's, but with his unique perspective, he creates his own subjects, painting great values."
This exhibition, titled "Towards the Light" and "Embracing Life," presents his representative works from over the years. It showcases a diverse array of portraits capturing the myriad expressions of life behind each face, as well as the arrangement of various landscapes and the play of light and shadow, constructing charming and delightful scenery.
We warmly welcome audience to visit the Tainan Cultural Center, to experience the life landscapes depicted by artist Su I-Jung's brush, and to appreciate the rich cultural achievements of Tainan.
